Oh hi, I’m Lexxi
WHO I AM
What you came here to read is that I am a wedding and family photographer based out of Layton, Utah. I picked up my first camera when I was ten and spent all of high school and college working at two photography studios before I decided to branch out and start my own business. BOOM. Boring stuff out of the way.
Now, who am I really? Much like a beaver or a gray wolf, I mate for life. I’ve been married to my pretty-dang-good-looking husband for four years and we have two little boys, Logan and Beckham. On most nights you can find me either A. cuddled up on the couch with my kiddos and husband watching Netflix or B. sitting at my desk editing until the wee hours of the night. We love spending as much time as possible on the Oregon coast and already have another trip planned for this year! I have a soft spot for soft serve and that golden hour when the sun sets. My love for The Office borders on obsession and I firmly believe that a person can live off of breakfast food forever. I consider myself pretty freaking lucky that I found a job where I get to do what I love every day. Another one of my beliefs? Everyone should do a little bit more of what they love. Ugh. So cheesy I know, but I couldn’t help myself.
My Love Story
I can’t wait to hear YOUR love story, but since this isn’t Willy Wonka and I can’t climb out of the screen, I’ll just tell you mine first. I met my husband during my brief stint as a bank teller. He came in to cash his checks – I cashed checks for a living. It was kismet. He was tall and awkward and goofy and I fell in love instantly.
We spent the first few months of our relationship making blanket forts, bonding over our love for Harry Potter and The Office, making a lot of late night runs to McDonald’s, and taking long drives into the mountains of Northern Utah. We eloped in those same mountains. Our elopement was small, beautiful, and most important of all – it was ours. Although I get a million ideas for things I wish I would have done at our wedding, at the end of the day – I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s been four years, three moves, two kids, and one dog later and I’m still as in love with him as ever. If you want to check out images from MY wedding click here.
