I could probably write about Anjelica and John forever and ever because I just love them that much. But I’ll try to keep to the basics. Their love story began in the best way: CUPCAKES. Anjelica is one of Oregon’s most talented bakers and owns several delightful bakeries (seriously next time you’re in Portland- check out Fat Cupcake. You will not regret it.), the moment John first walked into her shop, it wasn’t just the delicious cupcakes that had him in awe. From there their relationship blossomed into a beautiful friendship and then got a little more serious – if ya know what I mean.

After 2 years of dating John decided it was time and set up the most incredible proposal over Anjelica’s birthday weekend. He flew the two of them out to San Francisco and had a whole day planned with activities, including crepes and a museum tour, ending in a proposal and a bike ride across the Golden Gate Bridge.

With a proposal that amazing you know their wedding was one for the books. It had it all. A gorgeous modern venue overlooking the picturesque Columbia River ( look up The Black Pearl on the Columbia it is STUNNING), black tie bridesmaids and groomsmen wandering downtown dressed to the 9’s, 300 cupcakes, and an all-night dance party with a sparkler send-off.

This was my first wedding of the 2019 season and I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding to start of the summer. But it wasn’t just the fantastic details and cupcakes that I love about Anjelica and John (although I am forever dreaming about the cupcakes), it was the way they radiate joy and love. It was the way their family and friends spoke about them during toasts, it was the way they hold hands, and how they never get bored of talking to each other. I told you I could talk about them forever, so I’ll wrap it up by saying THANK YOU. Thank you A+J for letting me into your lives and allowing me to document your love. You two are the best.
